Day 1: Mandalay Arrival
Mingalabar! Welcome to Mandalay, the royal capital of Myanmar. Today welcome by Go Myanmar’s local guide at Mandalay International Airport and transfer to your hotel in the city to check-in. After settling into your hotel, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Mandalay – Yandabo
This morning your guide will take you to Shwe Kyat Yatt jetty to embark on Irrawaddy Princess II cruise ship and we sail downstream to Yandaboo. Along the way, enjoy the fresh cool air on the river. On arrival at Yandabo village, take a leisure walk on the riverside where you might see the local women carry pots or things on their head and see water buffalos follow farmers to the field.
Next up, spend time to visit some families in the village to see more about the village’s famous production: clay potteries. Here you will have a chance to observe how people create pots, from small pots to the big ones to keep their food and water. An amazing opportunity for you today: why don’t you try your hands on making a pot under the guidance of the local artisan?
Day 3: Yandabo – Bagan
After breakfast, this morning, say goodbye to the cabin crew and then we check out at Irrawaddy Princess II to get back to the land. Today unlock the hidden allure of Bagan. Start the day with a visit to Nyaung U Market to gaze out at the local trade and life of the local people. After that, explore the temple of Htilominlo, dating back to 1218, the temple has a strong and wonderful construction helping it to survive after many earthquakes. Proceed to Shwezigon Pagoda, the most popular tourist attraction in Bagan. Spend your time to observe the impressive architecture and learn more about Buddhist teaching from the main golden stupa in the pagoda.
In the afternoon, gain more insight into the local’s production with a visit to the Lacquer workshop in the village of Myinkaba. Here you will attend a demonstration and learn about how skillful artisans make the finest item from wood, bamboo, and lacquerware. Finally, watch the sunset over this wondrous landscape from the sunset hill.
Day 4: Bagan Temple Visit
The morning of day 4 gives you a chance to see the real-life of people in the tranquil village. Start the day with a visit to Minanthu village, a charming village where you will gaze out at the cottage houses and witness people make cigar from corn skin. Leaving the village, head to the most beautiful pagoda in Bagan – Ananda Pagoda. With a perfect combination of Mon and Indian architecture, the elegant temple will enchant your heart right from the moment you see it.
In the afternoon, visit Khay Min Ga, a complex of brick stupas erected in the 11th century. Then enjoy your scenic drive through thousands of old stupas to head to Gyu Byauk Gyi Temple where you will learn about Buddha’s life from the mural paintings. Then your guide might also take you to Dhammayangyi, the largest temple, Shwenandaw – the highest temple and That Byin Nyu – the majestic temple.
Day 5: Bagan – Fly to Heho – Inle Lake Sightseeing
Leave Bagan this morning to take a flight to Heho, the gateway to Inle Lake. On arrival, meet your local guide at the airport and transfer to Taungyi town. En route, enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Before lunch, we will make a visit to a local nunnery school to gain more knowledge of the daily life of the nun.
In the afternoon, take a long-tail boat trip to pass through the endless floating gardens – the man-made masterpiece of the farmers living on the lake. Ent route, you might catch the image of the leg-rowing fishermen who row the boat by one leg and use another leg to keep an oar. You will visit Ngaphechaung Monastery, the largest wooden monastery on Inle Lake. Later on, transfer to your hotel to check-in.
Day 6: Inle Lake – Indein – Red Mountain
Wake up in the sound of bird-singing this morning, after breakfast, take a boat trip to sail along the narrow canal to reach Indein – an idyllic village that is home to the magnificent Indein temple complex. Stroll along with the antique stupas, some of them are well-preserved, some are dominated by nature.
In the afternoon, highlight your Inle Lake tour to Red Mountain, where you can not only enjoy various types of wine but also enjoy one of the best sunsets in the world from the top of the hill. Sit back, sipping a fine glass of wine and enjoy the view.
Day 7: Inle Lake – Fly to Yangon.
Say goodbye to Inle Lake this morning to take a flight to Yangon, the vibrant city of Myanmar. On arrival, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure
Day 8: Yangon City Tour
Start the day with a visit to the serene Kandawgyi Lake, the enchanting photo stop where you can take many stunning photos with the green lake and the impressive Karaweik Palace – a prominent landmark of Yangon.
After that, drive through the fascinating street where you can observe the antique colonial buildings featuring the late 19th-century British architecture. Your guide then will lead you to Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, home to one of the most highly revered reclining Buddha images. Leaving the pagoda, head to the Bogyoke Aungsan Market – the largest bazaar in Yangon where you can see the hustle and bustle trading of the city dwellers. Stroll along the market area to observe a variety of products.
In the afternoon, fulfill your city tour at Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the greatest Buddhist pagodas in the world which is the pride of Yangon, if not Myanmar. Take this chance to discover the architecture of the legend pagoda, observe the local pilgrims paying homage to the Buddha and admire the incredible beauty of the pagoda at sunset.
Day 9: Yangon – Kawthaung
The morning of day 9 leads you to Kawthaung, a primary gateway to the paradise island of Myeik Archipelago. On arrival, check-in at Victoria Cliff Hotel hotel and enjoy a welcome lunch at the restaurant.
In the afternoon, follow your guide to Maliwun Waterfall where you can also play with the water. If time permits, we would go to the natural hot spring for relaxing. Next up, take a sightseeing tour around the town to visit several attractions in the region including Pyi Taw Aye Pagoda and Su Taung Pyae Pagoda. We also make our way to Bayintnaung Hill, the landmark of Kawthaung. Then we also set foot on Bayintnaung Point.
In the late afternoon, enjoy the breathtaking sunset view on the seashore after having dinner at the restaurant.
Day 10: Kawthaung – Nyaung Oo Phee Island
This morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast at Victoria Cliff Hotel & Resort. After that, meet your guide at the hotel lobby and first learn how to use a life jacket. You also learn local knowledge about the way to Nyaung Oo Phee (NOP) Island and snorkeling spots before you reach there. After that, we transfer to Kawthaung jetty to take a 1 hour 45 min speedboat ride to Nyaung Oo Phee Island, a gift of nature for the Andaman Sea. After check-in at the hotel, start 3 hours snorkeling tour. You will then enjoy your time with some pastry, seasonal fruit, and soft drink.
In the evening, reward yourself with a beachside dinner with freshly grilled seafood drawn straight from the Andaman Sea. This night, enjoy a traditional basic dance of Myanmar and fire dance show on the island. Then enjoy your time at leisure on the peaceful island.
Day 11: Nyaung Oo Phe Island
A full day to discover the mesmerizing beauty of Nyaung Oo Phe Island. This morning, join in interesting snorkeling to observe an incredible world underwater. After that, relax on the resort which is surrounded by natural beauty.
Following your afternoon activity with a snorkeling tour near the Nyaung Oo Phee Island. Take this chance to observe the wonderful marine life on the island with an array of colorful coral reefs, fish and other beautiful creatures. After a scrumptious dinner and cultural show this evening, you are free to enjoy the tranquil ambiance on the beach.
Day 12: Nyaung Oo Phe Island – Kawthaung
After breakfast, enjoy your leisure time on the island. You can choose to take photoshoot, sunbathing, kayaking or hiking to the Nyaung Oo Phe Island viewpoint. After a buffet lunch, we check-out from Victoria Cliff Resort.
In the afternoon, we take a speedboat to transfer back to Kawthaung.
Day 12: Nyaung Oo Phe Island – Kawthaung
Enjoy your time at leisure at the resort this morning. You can wander to take some lovely pictures or have some great treatments at the spa after many long days of sightseeing.
In the afternoon, check out from Victoria Cliff Resort (Kawthaung) to transfer to the airport to take a flight back to Yangon
Day 13: Kawthaung Discovery – Fly to Yangon
The morning of day 13 gives you a chance to enjoy your time at leisure at the resort. You can wander to take some lovely pictures or have some great treatments at the spa after many long days of sightseeing.
In the afternoon, check out from Victoria Cliff Resort (Kawthaung) to transfer to the airport to take a flight back to Yangon.
Day 14: Yangon, Departure
